Disable windows key


Q: Whenever I’m playing a video game, I keep accidentally pushing the windows key, which minimizes my game and when I try to bring it back up, my game crashes.
How can I disable the left windows key on my keyboard while still not damaging it beyond repair?

A: There are two ways to disable windows key on your keyboard,use the registry or use our “Disable Key” product.

If you know how to deal with windows system and registry,you can disable windows key following these steps:

Click Start, click Run, type regedt32, and then click OK.
On the Windows menu, click HKEY_LOCAL_ MACHINE on Local Machine.
Click the System\CurrentControlSet\Control folder, and then double-click the Keyboard Layout folder.
On the Edit menu, click Add Value, type in Scancode Map, click REG_BINARY as the Data Type, and then click OK.
Type 00000000000000000300000000005BE000005CE000000000 in the Data field, and then click OK.
Close the Registry Editor and restart the computer.
If you don’t know how to edit windows registry, you use AutoWin Software product Disable Key to Disable it.
To disable the Windows key with AutoWin Disable Key, do the following steps:

First of all,make sure you have download and installed AutoWin Software Disable Key,
if not,Please follow this instruction, to download and install it.

after install it,Please click this icon Disable Widows Key icon on your desktop to open autowin software disable key.

when the main window of autowin software disable key opened,Please Click “Disable A Key” button on the left side.

then, we will need you to press the key which you want to disable, when this window appear on your desktop,
please just press that key,and click “Disable It” button use your mouse.

Ok,Now you can see the key name have displayed in the disabled key list,that mean the key have already disabled.
